CIB Operations Finance & Business Manager – Vice President
The CIB operations finance team is responsible for supporting operations across Mumbai, Bangalore and Manila (MBM). Key responsibilities include:
Business Management support to Operations executive based in Mumbai
Governance on headcount and expenses for operations
Drive projects and efficiency initiatives across operations and finance team
The position is based in Mumbai and will cover the following activities:
Provide timely and accurate financial reporting; monthly business reviews that provide clear, impactful explanations of operating results and variances based on relevant business drivers; help ensure expense goals are achieved
Support management in preparing workforce analytics such as capacity modeling, functional taxonomies and activity analysis tied to key operational metrics
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Manage annual budget and periodic (monthly) forecasting processes
Review expenses and identify potential reductions in the cost base to streamline business processes and improve profitability
Strong exposure to business management and financial reporting; Implement controls and best practices to ensure efficient, timely and accurate financial reporting
Liaise with product and function CFOs to understand the drivers of business variance
Play a proactive role in enhancing the current BAU processes
Adhoc requests and projects.
The role is an individual contributor role and may not involve direct people management
Qualifications
Qualified accountant with at least 8 years post qualification experience
Excellent quantitative, analytical problem solving and financial / data / business modeling skills
Positive, pro-active, can-do attitude and strong control mindset
Ability to multi-task and deliver quality work under pressure
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills to various levels of senior management
Ability to develop and leverage strong network of contacts throughout the organization
Able to collaborate across lines of businesses in multiple locations across different time zones and work with central/corporate organizations
Proficiency in Essbase and Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of systems used by Finance (SAP, CMR, GLW, GDW, Extrasheet, etc) a preference
Strong orientation to details and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
