Quality Assurance Anayst–150062535
The CST CORE QA Team will be responsible for the testing of the CORE application which is the replacement for Phoenix. As part of the Quality Control team you will be involved with the end to end review of various deliverables during the application lifecycle to insure that we deliver timely products with quality. The Quality Control team has an opening for a Quality Assurance Tester.
As a Quality Assurance Tester you will be responsible for the following:
- Becoming a SME on the tools that the CORE team has responsibility for.
- Participation in the creation and review of the business and functional requirements for completeness and comprehensiveness along with adherence to corporate and other pre-established standards and guidelines.
- Test strategy formulation which will include decomposing the business, functional and technical requirements into test case scenarios, defining test data requirements, managing test case creation, devising contingencies plans and other test preparation activities.
- Performing all testing activities for initiatives across one or more assigned projects, utilizing standard processes, methods, metrics and software that ensure the quality, and reliability.
- Understanding the interfacing applications, test environments, tools and methodologies.
- Communicating effectively with your Team Lead, Business Analysts, IT Development, Project Management and other support staff on testing deliverables and other relevant information.
- Investigating, monitoring, reporting and driving solutions to defects/issues.
Qualifications:
- A college degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2.5 years of experience with the following:
- System software testing
- Planning and coordinating test activities
- Overseeing test case development and defect resolution
- HP’s Quality Center / ALM
- Proven experience in all aspects of functional, integration and regression testing
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and excellent analytical skills
- Independent decision-making and good judgment
- Strong time, interpersonal and people skills
- Ability to operated comfortably in a multi-task / multi priority environment across a global team
- Experience with client server environments
- Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office products
- Experience in Waterfall/Agile development and testing environments is a plus
- Knowledge of Application Development Lifecycle and concepts
- Knowledge of Project Delivery Framework (PDF) and PMI is a plus
Experience in the following technical areas is a plus:
- Desktop – Onedesk, VDI
- Operating System – Windows, IBM BPM, WireFrames, JVM
- Browsers – IE, Firefox
- Automated testing tools (QTP, Selenium)
- Database Systems – Oracle, SQL
- Programming – HTML, JAVA, VBscript, XML, Perl
- Reporting – Cognos, Qlikview
- Network configurations and environments
