Job Description
Head of Modern Trade & Retail Operation
We are a global leader in the development of wireless web access products and services.
Our Mission is to connect the four corners of the world with affordable and reliable internet connectivity.
We are currently hiring Head of Modern Trade & Retail Operation to expand our National Operation in India. The incumbent will manage, build and develop key business relationships with distributors, sub-distributors and retailers to merchandise our Aakash/ Ubislate tablet in India.
Essential Responsibilities
• Identify and develop new channel members, including dealers, distributors to increase distribution depth.
• Identify local opportunities for advertising and promotion
• Developing and managing existing network of local distributors
• Explore and establish new channel partners for the distribution of our product in rural regions
• Build relationships with category heads/owners/business heads for business setup and day to day operations to create strong brand presence
• Strategise, negotiate and execute merchandising and visibility deals with modern trade chains, as well as, small retailers, mom/pop shops, tapirs and Kiranas
• End to end supply chain management for the modern trade, encompassing primary sales target achievement, demand planning, supply planning, inventory management and Channel management
• Lead Monthly meetings with retail chains, national distributors and supply primary sales alignment
Requirements
• Bachelor in Marketing
• MBA in Marketing is an Asset
• At least 7 years experience as a senior level sales executive in consumer electronics
• 5 years experience in acquiring & negotiating contracts and agreements with distributors and traditional trade outlets in rural areas on a national level
• Proven evangelical sales track record in new product/new market environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team oriented environment
• Willingness to travel
