Excellent Job opening for Software Engineer with leading US based organization at Navi Mumbai

Software Engineer – Java/J2EE

Exp :3-6 Yrs

Role Description

The Software Developer designs and implements technical solutions for Exchange Solutions while coordinating with various stakeholders such as Development Leads, Architects, Business Networks, Quality Assurance and Operations staff

Required Skills:

Knowledge of good programming practices.

Expected to prioritize work load and meet multiple project deadlines.

Expected to adapt in dynamic and collaborative work environment and make independent decision.

Will work with project architect and/or technical lead to confirm and substantiate function and technical designs.

Expected to learn and deploy new technologies as needed.

Understanding of layered architecture

Experience with the following open-source project which are now de-facto standards:- Ant, JUnit, Log4J, Jakarta Commons, Apache libraries.

Follows and enforces the coding standards as established in team.

Must be self motivated and able to work in a close team environment.

Technologies & Other Skills

1) Java- Minimum3-6 years of exp. Working on Java applications, good grasp of the language and basic Object Orientation concepts :

Abstraction, Program to Interface, Polymorphism and Inheritance.

Understanding of Java Threading model required.

Good understanding of Java Map collection.

Experience in developing Java multi-threaded applications preferred.

2) Hibernate-solid working knowledge required

OR

2) IBatis – Strong working experience required

3) Web Services (top-down/WSDL-first approach) & Restful API paradigm.

4) Object-oriented principles and good exposure to design patterns.

5) Solid grasp on relational database modeling and design.

6) Experience in Unit testing through JUnit, Performance & Memory Profiling , defect resolution during development and integration.

7) Good exposure to Jersey, XML, XPath, XSLT,JSON

8) Hands on with SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, data model design.

9) Good understanding of development and testing cycle.

Preferred:

Experience of CVS/SVN

Familiarity with agile development processes (preferably SCRUM)

Knowledge of open source frameworks and tools such as Hudson, Quartz, ANT , MAVEN , Eclipse.

Nice to Have

1) Work experience related to Financial industry

2) Familiar with architectural concepts such as:

-SOA

-3) Mobile technology and/or mobile development background

Required Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience OR A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline .

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Having positive attitude.

Passion for development

Demonstrated expert knowledge in Java and at least one Java framework

Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
