Job Description: Sr. Consultant with 4-5 years of Development/ Production Support & Maintenance experience in below mentioned skills with exposure to database concepts & large-scale development / production support projects. P&C Insurance domain experience or Claims experience is highly preferred. Should have good communication skills.

Sr. Consultant requires strong technical skills, responsible for coding, testing, debugging and installing application systems. They must be self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities. See the comprehensive list of responsibilities and qualifications listed below.

Qualifications:

• Should have a minimum of 3-5 years of technology experience with at least 3 years hands-on technical roles in the field and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Strong background in Unix, ETL Tools (Abinitio, Informatica), PL/SQL


• Good working knowledge of database design, , XML Spy, Microsoft Office Products and Microsoft Visio


• Working knowledge of Excel macros, Perl and HP Quality Center a plus


• Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment with changing priorities.


• Willingness to work outside of normal business hours.


• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.


• Post-secondary degree in computer science or related field or a combination of related experience and education.


• Requires at least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.


• Provides input in creating detailed interface estimates or change requests.


• Be able to analyze technical designs, work with SAs and develop accurate defect free code for multiple projects


• Create unit test plans and verify the unit test results are correct and functioning as designed


• Participate in the formal reviews of the test plan/test conditions and confirm all the non-functional requirements are reflected in the test plan.


• Work with QC Analyst to insure appropriate conditions are identified, provide technical expertise on how to execute and assist with troubleshooting testing issues


• Be able to work with outside vendors for application development and programming consultants.


• Assists/ oversees production implementation according to the defined release schedules and maintenance of the production, QA and test environments

Participate in transition status meetings with the team’s coordinator to discuss progress and any open issues to be resolved, and report progress to management.
