• 6+ years experience required in enterprise environment supporting Red Hat Linux 6+, including patching, backups, and virtualization.


• Must have certification (Certified Systems Admin) who can perform maintenance, configuration, and deployments of new builds.


• Understanding of networking technologies, including UDP, TCP/IP, routers, switches, DNS, etc.


• Deep experience as an IT Architect or advanced systems administrator in a large 24×7 production mid-tier environment


• Knowledge of multiple Operating Systems (vSphere, Linux (RHEL 6), Windows (2008, 2012)


• Knowledge of multiple database systems software (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)


• Advanced knowledge/understanding of Domain Name Service (DNS), Light Weight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Network File System (NFS), Transmission Control Protocol Information Protocol (TCP/IP) networking, virtual memory (including swapping and paging), and Redundant Array Inexpensive Disks (RAID)


• Knowledge of enterprise storage solutions (3PAR)


• Knowledge of the wide range of enterprise networking solutions using Cisco infrastructure

• Hands on implementation of automation using multiple scripting languages (Chef, Puppet)

• Work with cross-functional teams to architect, design, and implement cloud technologies using VMware, AWS and associated solutions


• Enhance service delivery and reporting with automation via PowerShell, vCenter Orchestrator and VMware Cloud Automation Center. Support integration with other key business applications


• Oversee routine hardware and software server audits. Maintain production change control schedule and participate in change controls as required. Architect, design and coordinate implementation of virtualization enhancements to improve the reliability and performance of the system


• Provide advanced technical support to troubleshoot issues and provide resolutions. Perform complex systems tasks. Lead technical team in debugging complex system, application, and user issues


• Configure and support enterprise virtualization and cloud solutions regarding capabilities and relative performance differences between solutions


• Support Disaster Recovery requirements for enterprise server virtualization and cloud environments. Coordinate, schedule, and install virtualization Operating System (OS)


• Maintain, build out and enhance infrastructure and application server environment to include Red Hat Linux 6, VMware and KVM virtualization, Red Hat Satellite, and Oracle RAC with fiber attached ASM disks


• Application administration, installation, tuning, and upgrade functions for Linux based tools, including Oracle RAC, JBOSS, Puppet, Bind DNS, Splunk, Apache, lightpd, Git, Subversion, PHP applications, Java Application, MySQL, Postgress, Postfix, and Patch Manager


• Ensure compliance with security standards, especially PCI and SAS 70, and assist in audit preparations


• Monitor environment and computing resources for reporting and capacity planning
