Data Integration Engineer


DISYS is searching for a Data Integration Engineers.  The Team has immediate openings for Senior Data Integration Engineers, Data Integration Engineers and ETL experts and is offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team within IT. Goal of the team is to provide timely, accurate information to enable better business decisions through the implementation of cutting-edge BI and Advanced Analytics technologies and solutions. Data Integration Engineer Responsibilities include:


  • Design and engineer across multiple platform types.
    (Experience with any of the following: DB2, UDB, SQL Server, and their subsystems for Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, Bl Tools, ETL, CDC and Unix application servers.)

  • Assess technical risks and keeps team apprised of strategy to provide mitigations.

  • Develops integration solutions without affecting core system infrastructure.

  • Performs debugging, troubleshooting, modifications and unit testing of integration solutions.

  • Support, monitor, execute production application jobs and processes.

  • Develop new documentation, participate in the development of departmental technical procedures and design user support guides.

  • Assure quality, security and compliance requirement are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan.

  • Ensure documentation follows standardized procedures and appropriate approval hierarchies.

  • Coordinates and facilitates Agile team activities.

  • Participate in product backlog grooming.

  • Participate in user reviews.

Data Integration Engineer Qualifications


  • 4 year’s degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or relational functional field).

  • 7+ years’ experience in specific Domain, System and Infrastructures, sub systems and data integration.

  • 5+ years acting as a lead Developer for major systems and their subsystems for complex data integration solutions and/or EIM initiatives. Experience in authoring quality deliverables for project(s).

  • Strong understanding of each Domain: data integration, systems programming, and information.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile Software development methodology.

  • Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques.

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross functional team.

  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training and a strong aptitude for delivering quality products.

  • Strong ability to mentor, coach and train developers.
