Job Description

Job Description


1.      To be responsible for compliances under Companies Act 2013 including but not limited to:


·         Conducting Board/General Meetings,


·         Filing of forms with ROC,


·         Collecting annual declaration forms from directors,


·         Maintaining Statutory Registers


2.      To be well versed with Software Technology of Parks India Regulations, SEZ laws and rules, Department of Telecommunications’ Regulations and general contract laws. 


3.      To maintain and improve the Compliance function of the firm and to build sufficient controls to track all compliances across the firm and to report deviations. 


4.      Support Indian Senior Counsel on local legal issues.


5.      File reports with SEZ (MPR, QPR, APR etc), liaisoning and obtaining timely approvals from SEZ for imports, service tax exemption, CST exemption forms etc.


6.      File service tax returns, refund claims and obtaining upfront exemption from service tax authorities and to follow up with Service tax authorities for Refund claims.


7.      Submit and ensure timely responses to queries and letters from statutory authorities.


8.      Act as point of contact for the businesses on legal issues and escalate them as needed.


9.      Draft, review and negotiate service level agreements, outsourcing, technology, procurement, consultancy and other agreements, etc.


10.  Keep abreast of changes to applicable local laws and  financial corporate policies and inform Legal and clients as needed.


11.  Co-ordinate with tax advisors on transfer pricing, income-tax assessments etc.


12.  Take ownership of matters and think independently.


13.  Possess strong interpersonal skills and be a team player.
