Large insurance company with excellent work/ life culture is seeking a seasoned project coordinator with IVR experience. Casual dress culture, and flexible work schedule. 


Location: Glendale, AZ 


Start Date: 07/13/2015 Estimated End Date: 12/31/2015


Duties: Will support IVR Project they Use Avaya telephone sys.


  • Responsible for coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts.

  • Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.

  • Provides analytical, support to Project and Program managers.

  • Incumbent has some project management experience.

  • Accountable for analytical information produced.

  • Works with broad limits and authority on new projects/assignments of lesser complexity.

  • Accountable to Program Leader/Manager or Project Manager for successful delivery and coordination of project tasks and artifacts.

  • Ensures successful implementation and ongoing maintenance of projects/programs

  • Prepares and presents project status reports.

  • Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to project sponsors, end users and management.

  • Performs simple to moderate research and analysis on program and project requests, requirements and feasibility

  • Recommends possible enhancements and solutions to Program or Project Manager May be assigned to work on simple projects

  • Ensures that the audience list is up-to-date.

  • Ability to create and maintain project schedule in Microsoft Project

  • Assist in creating and maintaining project budget- knowledge of planned v. actual

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

  • Strong understanding of project management

  • Interfaces with staff including middle management and internal resources to ensure successful completion of programs and projects to fulfill user needs

  • May provide work direction and guidance to Project/ Program Managers by maintaining files and information including but not limited to, financial data, budgets, projects, professional designation and licensing information (continuing education hours, expiration dates, appointments, etc.)

  • Ensures successful implementation and ongoing maintenance of projects/programs.

  • Prepares and presents project status reports

  • Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to project sponsors, end users and management

  • The tasks of this position are normally performed while sitting at a desk, often using a computer. Mobility is required to attend meetings, etc. within the office.

  • The ability to travel occasionally to various locations in the state, typically via car is required.

  •  Regular lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds is expected.

  • Experience Assisting Projects from 500 to 500,000 Hours

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, MS Project, MS Access, Adobe Acrobat and NT.

  • Proven ability to work on several projects simultaneously and under tight schedules

  • Ability to successfully coordinate large complex technology projects

  • Effective written and oral communications skills

  • Proven decision-making abilities

  • Understands latest technology in project management and ability to understand standard business documentation

Preferred: Exposure to all phases of the SDLC and project methodology preferred


Required: High School diploma or equivalent certification or experience


Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience


2-3 years project management principles and methodologies obtained by assisting/coordinating mid-scale projects


2-3 years’ Experience assisting projects from 500 – 500,000 Hours


Experience in insurance industry preferred
