Job Description

Automation TEST ENGINEER

Location: Raleigh NC

Length: 6 months plus

Job description

The Automation Engineer is a developer who is passionate about cutting edge technologies with a proven background in software development, software quality engineering, agile(SCRUM), test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing.

The candidate is responsible for developing, executing and maintaining automated test suites. They will work with the lead in developing a new framework or using an existing one to write automation scripts

He or She will also work closely with Developers, Architects, and Operations to ensure application code Quality thru use of code reviews, UNIT test automation and will also be critical in standing up continuous integration and continuous delivery capabilities.

Responsibilities and Skillset

• Experience with the following technologies (or similar):
  
  • Primary:
    
    • Java, C# .NET, Javascript, VBScript
    
    
    • GIT/Jenkins
    
    
    • Assertion Languages: Jasmine, Mocha, Chai
    
    
  
  


• Experience with Automation Tools & Technologies:
  
  • Selenium Web Driver/Coded UI/ Protractor/SAHI Pro/KARMA
  
  
  • Parasoft SOAtest, Parasoft Service Virtualize
  
  


• Design, develop, document, and maintain the automated test scripts.


• Use risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites


• Conduct peer code reviews.


• Identify opportunities to improve maintainability of automation platform


• Good attention to details

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or closely related field) with at least 2+ years of experience


• Intermediate Objected Oriented Programming skills


• Experience in both Windows and Linux environments


• Knowledge of database concepts


• Experience working in Agile(SCRUM) teams


• Excellent communication skills.


• Demonstrates skills for out-of-the-box thinker.


• Solution oriented attitude in the design, development, and support of mission critical software.


• Good team player
