Job Description

Main ResponsibilitiesCreation of test plans and test cases.Maintain and update test automation according to new features and platforms.Specification and execution of longevity tests.Specification and execution of performance and stability tests. Supporting the development team by recreating customer issues.Maintenance of test platforms to provide complete coverage of supported systems and configurations.Required skills2-3 years of relevant QA experience in testing Hadoop based systems and applications in a product based companyStrong knowledge on Hadoop Architecture – MRv1 and MRv2 (YARN)Experience and Knowledge in Hadoop distribution of BigData (at least in one) – Cloudera, Hortonworks, Pivotal, BigInsights, MapRShould have hands-on experience in developing JAVA based MapReduce ProgramsExperience in Hadoop Administration.Worked predominantly in Unix / Linux environmentHands-on experience with Hive and Pig.Desired skillsKnowledge and experience with Bugzilla, Jira, and TestopiaKnowledge of communication protocols such as HTTP, and TCP/IP.Knowledge on basic networking concepts.Experience in Security Domain.Experience in Agile-Scrum Methodology
