Overall responsibility for Production Manager involved with All manufacturing activities for OFO Fiber Optic Cable products in the daily business inside our Fiber Optic Cable plant.
Performance is linked to production schedules and key performance measures.
Accountable for Production operations cost, product quality, safety in plant productivity and our plant personnel.
Directing a team of cable plant supervisors to achieve key performance
KPI and Quality goals using established OFO guidelines, company policies and procedures.
Maintaining OFO culture of Performance Excellence in our products and real customer service with technical support if required .
Day to Day responsibilities include:-
Responsible for all Production operations directly linked to the production output schedule. OFO plant does work shifts .
Collaborates with Senior Plant Manager Cables and planning group on short and long term production scheduling. Supporting optimisation of manufacturing processes and procedures for any new and existing products.
Actively interacts with R & D to ensure effective new product transfer to operations, Including translation of customer requirements into OFO cable specifications.
Ensure Quality Systems requirements and standards are met in the production environment of all OFO Optical Cable products.
Participation inside internal as well as external audits, any cable product complaint resolutions, document review/ upgrades /approvals, etc.
Participates in the development of the OFO business from a production management position attends monthly meetings .
Provides daily leadership to the production team.
Safe working environment and ensuring correct staff training and awareness.
Responsible for meeting QHSE health, safety and environmental interlinked plant goals.
Travel Requirements: Not often requested or Oman locally.
Hours of work are 45 Hours
Job Title: Production Manager in Muscat , OMAN.

Required Education: Degree strongly desired, in an engineering based subject.
Required Years and Area of Experience:
10-15 years of increasingly responsible experience in all aspects of the Cable processes within an active plant environment,minimum 5 years leadership /Team leader etc
Required Skills include:
Effective analytical, technical and problem solving skills.
Practical knowledge of ISO/EN Standards including ISO 9001 / 14001 and 18001 within both manufacturing and ERP computer systems
Desired Skills:
*ISO, ERP experience.
*Experience in Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing)
*Experience with production planning and managing of staff.
Other Skills (Communication/Team Leader):
*Effective communication skills and ability to convince others.
*Effective written and spoken skills to include presentation in meetings
